"Still today the Lord is searching for some heroes of the Faith who will stand with strength and courage in a war that must be waged. Every blessing we've been given has a price we're called to pay. God desires a living sacrifice . . . pledge your life today.

For such a time as this, our God has made us strong! And now we lift His banner high! We must battle sin and wrong! We will stand for truth and right; we will boldly face each task! Our God has blessed and raised us up for such a time as this!"

The Line

If the time has not come yet, it will . . . the time to draw your line. Will you or will you not follow God. Will you or will you not stand completely on His Word. Under pressure, will you identify yourself as a follower of Christ or will you not? Will you uphold that which you know is Biblically correct or will you forsake it? Draw the line . . . When your brothers and sisters in Christ choose to walk the way of the world or choose to follow false doctrine where will you stand my friend? Will you be persuaded to go against the clear teaching of Jesus Christ, the clear teaching of His Word, or will you stand on that which you know is the ONLY source of absolute truth? Will it be said of you that you WHOLLY FOLLOWED GOD? Where is your line? Is it firm? Where do you REALLY stand?

Joshua 14:8-9 speaks of Caleb as a man who WHOLLY FOLLOWED GOD. “Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. And Moses sware on that day, saying Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.”

Caleb is a man of God who stood when his brethren fainted and melted with doubt and fear.  Caleb's brothers and sisters in Christ sadly forsook following the Lord's commands despite seeing the hand of God’s deliverance and faithfulness time and time again. Caleb and Joshua, however, stood against their brethren for the Lord . . . brethren who doubted the deliverance of God, who doubted God’s promises, who doubted the faithfulness of God, who spread evil reports among their brethren (gossip), who created dissension and disunity among each other, and who ultimately rebelled against the very clear plan of the Lord. Caleb and Joshua knew the Lord was with them and would deliver them in their battles. Caleb and Joshua’s trust was in God and God alone. While their deliverance made no sense in the human mind in the battle against men of magnificent stature and number, they so wholly FOLLOWED and trusted in God and God alone that circumstances did not matter . . . human wisdom and reasoning was of none effect because they WHOLLY FOLLOWED GOD. They trusted completely in the word of their Lord. They knew God’s command was clear and He would deliver that which He committed to them.

Friend, can it be said of you and me, when brothers and sisters faint and melt around us, we WHOLLY FOLLOW GOD? Will you stand for Christ when the majority is not? Will you follow and be persuaded by false doctrine? Will you know a wolf when it enters the fold in the disguise of a beautiful, sweet sheep? Will you rebuke and stand against gossip and dissension when it is spread among the brethren, because your desire is to wholly follow God, knowing it may cost you your “popularity” or “friendship” with men?

Will the Lord say of you that you WHOLLY FOLLOWED HIM in all areas of your life? Who will you be like . . . the brethren who spread dissension, gossip, and who rebelled against the clear word of the Lord and the Lord’s plan, even though it seemed incomprehensible in human wisdom, or like Caleb and Joshua, who WHOLLY FOLLOWED God in complete faith, trust, and obedience.

Is your line firmly drawn? Now is the time to draw your line and never turn back. There will come a time, I believe in this life, that your line must be drawn, with your family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors, and church family to draw your line . . . who will you follow? Whose approval will you seek? May it be said of us that we WHOLLY FOLLOWED OUR LORD my dear friend.

Very Sincerely,
Jennifer
